About the Board of Commissioners
The Board of Commissioners serves as the governing body of Austin County Emergency Services District No. 2. Commissioners are appointed by the Austin County Commissioners Court and are responsible for providing oversight of the district’s operations, financial management, and long-term strategic direction.
In their role, the Board works to ensure that the district is operating efficiently, responsibly, and in compliance with all applicable state laws and regulations. This includes making decisions related to budgeting, tax rates, capital improvements, and the resources necessary to support fire and emergency medical services.
