About ACESD No.2
The Sealy Fire Department (ACESD No.2) has been protecting the community of Sealy since 1930. Today, the Fire Department consists of Volunteer’s and a 4-person Paid Duty Crew during the day (7a-7p) and a 3-person Paid Duty Crew during the night (7p-7a). We are funded by ACESD No.2 taxes currently set at .10 per $100 value (ex. a home owner with a $100,000 valued home pays $100.00 a yr for ACESD No.2 Taxes) and Donations. ACESD No.2’s mission is Life Safety, Incident Stabilization and Property Conservation. We respond to around 600 Emergency Incidents a year which includes Structure Fires, Motor Vehicle Incidents, EMS Assists, Rescue’s, Wild land Fire’s and Hazardous Materials Incidents. The fire department offers Pre-Planning, Home Safety Inspections, Smoke Detector Installation, Fire Prevention Classes, and Tours.
